Comment: I can't believe we are at 50 years!  I remember when my parents went to their 50th and my grandmother to her 65th.


I think my last entry was ten years ago.  My husband and I have been retired from teaching for ten years now.  We love retirement and spend six months in Minnesota and six in Sun City West, Arizona.  Our big news is that we are moving from our home of thirty-nine years, near Excelsior,  to a condo in Orono.  The big move is August 13.  That has taken up our summer.


When we aren't packing we are golfing and spending time with family.  We have three sons, Chris, Jason and Mike.  They are all married and have good jobs.  We also have six wonderful grandchildren ages ten to two, three boys and three girls.


I am looking forward to the Reunion and the golf scramble, we have an awesome team.

Comment: From SLPHS, 1965, I went on to college at the University of Arizona. I have been married to Roberta for 40 years. We recently down sized from a house in Golden Valley that we had been in for 37 years, and moved into a Condo ( a great idea ). We have two sons, Eddie and David, both of whom graduated UW Madison. Both sons are married and we have five  grandchildren, ages 12,10 7,4 ,1, all living now in the Twin Cities.  As I read through the web site, it was nice to read about classmates that I had lost track of through the years, BUT I was sadden to see how many classmates and teachers have passed away. 


See you in August.

Comment: I am fortunate to be married to a Delta pilot and we both love our jobs. I have three children all teachers form first wife who with her husband are our good frienda and Mindy and I have a daughter graduating from Minnetonka this year and going to Florida State next year. We have a home in Bonita Springs Florida, any one in the area please stop by and see us.  Still playing hockey 3 times a week and coaching "Chicks with Sticks" a hockey moms program.  How would have thought I would have coached Girls High School hockey at Edina.  Get to ski Aspen a couple times a year.  Looking forward to the reunion.

after hs i joined the USMC. left service in 1970  married had 3 children ,divorced 1982.  remarried in 1983 and still going strong after 29yrs with 1 daughter .we have 6 grands and 1 greatgrandson. i enjoy doing yardwork  and wood working. and like going to different casinos around the country. sorry we cannot make the bash but hopefully we will make the 50th  reunion

Comment: Since graduating in 65, I have graduate from the UofM in History (BA), Makato (MA) and a variety of US Army Schools to include the Army War College.





Military Service in Vietnam, El Salvador, Bosnia and Afghanistan. Retired as a Special Forces Colonel with 31 years of Active and Reserve Duties.





Currently a Senior Fellow at the Special Operations University in Florida. This keeps me in the game teaching deploying forces of the Special Operations Community. This also includes working with foreign nations (Mexico, Mauritius and Uzbekistan as examples).





Spent 32 months in Afghanistan as an Mentor to the Ministry of Defense.





Married to the same lady for 40 years, two children both graduates from the UofM and one with  a MA from St.Thomas.





Sorry to miss the reunion.

How can it be 50 years since we walked the halls of learning of St. Louis Park High School.    I have had a nice life.  I have been married to Jon Mathisrud for 47 years.  We have three beautiful daughters all married to very nice men with jobs.  We have five very active grandchildren who we thoroughly enjoy.  My 91 year-old mother still lives in St. Louis Park.  If I have spare time, carving, quilting, rosemaling, and painting are activities I enjoy.    Jon and I entertain family and friends at our cabin on Lake Superior near Lutsen, MN.  





Looking forward to the 50th Reunion to see classmates and old friends.
