It is inconceivable that we are observing our 50th Reunion. I am thrilled to say that at age 68 (although my mindset is somewhere in my 20's), life is good. After all these years, I am still energetic and adventurous! Although I have been divorced for many years, I have a fulfilling personal and family life. My two sons are married to amazing women and have given me four precious, brilliant, adorable grandchildren (what else, right?). One family lives in Minneapolis and one in Chicago, so we keep up our connection by frequent travel back and forth. My degree from the U of MN was in Art Education (yes, I taught for a while...) but I transitioned to managing events in the corporate high-tech industry and beyond for 25 years. With my event experience, I founded my own wedding and event-planning business 12 years ago. Finally, at 55 years of age, with Magical Memories I found my niche and I love what I do! Heck, if any of you are considering another marriage, let me know! I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Five years ago, at the last reunion, some of you shared memories of fun times together at Park and it meant a lot to me. If you recall other moments from Lenox, Elliot, Cedar Manor, Westwood Jr. High or Park, I'd love to hear them. Looking forward to spending time with old friends. Enjoy the rest of this gorgeous summer and I'll see you August 28. Marsha I am sooooooo sorry that I will not be in attendance at either the 65th birthday party at the Park Tavern or the All-Park reunion. That is the weekend I will be celebrating my own 65th birthday with my kids and 4 precious grandchildren for our annual family trip in Wisconsin Dells. HUGS to everyone in absentia. Perhaps we can connect and celebrate this milestone year on our own! |
