I've been a writer nearly all my professional life, which has been rich, exciting, and gratifying, but it also means I'll probably never retire. Keeps things ever interesting, but at times I do envy those of you who've earned the leisure I truly hope you're now enjoying. I will try to make this reunion, but some research in Asia for my next book may conflict -- I won't be able to to confirm dates for a while. Meanwhile, I credit a couple of Park High teachers -- David Litsey and Jack Loegering -- for teaching me more about my craft than anyone else since, and various football and wrestling coaches whose interminable clichés about sports preparing us for the game of life (e.g., quitters never win; winners never quit) turned out to be surprisingly true. Anyhow, hope to see you; if not, at the 50th for sure. |

| Comment: How can it be 50 years!! Not that much time has gone by...... My life has been wonderful and I am looking forward to many new adventures. I have done a lot of travelling and there is still so very much to see, I don't understand how the bucket list keeps getting longer!! I never had children, but my life is very full with nieces and nephews and, dare I say it, great-nieces and nephews, they all help to keep this aunty very young. And the great friends I have known throughout the years have really made my life so blessed. Every once in a while I run into an old (?) classmate in a very unusual situation. This world gets smaller every day....that's what makes it so fun! I am so looking forward to the reunion and seeing all of our Orioles. What fun!!! | |

| Comment: I retired in January, 2014, after a career in clinical research--24 years at Merck, 3 years at GE Healthcare, and another 1 1/2 years back at Merck. My husband retired in June, 2014, after 34 years as a professor at Rutgers University. We still live New Jersey, but are now free to do more traveling. Much of my time is also spent as a volunteer at our church food pantry. We have 2 grown sons--Rob lives near us and Geoff lives in North Carolina. I look forward to seeing old friends at our reunion! | |
