Comment: First, let me thank the inspiring teachers I recall with special appreciation: Mr. Zitur (Latin), Mr. Lokensgaard (humanities), and Lorna Goins (English). After graduating from the UofM with a degree in English, I joined the Peace Corps and served 2 1/2 amazing years in Afghanistan. There I met my wife Patty, whom I married in 1973. While performing my alternate service as a conscientious objector at Boston City Hospital I decided to try medical school and was accepted back at the U of M. It was good to be back for 4 years, but I won an internship in San Diego and moved the family west in 1979. I have been blessed (there really isn't any other word that comes close) to serve as a general internist with a subspecialty in HIV medicine for over 30 years. I cut my office hours this past January and will retire sometime within the next 2 years. All four children are married now, and Patty and I anticipate grandchild number 3 earlier in 2016. |

Comment: Married to Sally Anderson Class of 65 - 53 years. Married 10.10.70 - I was a week late from returning from Viet Nam, we were suppose to tie the knot on the 3rd. Our first apartment was the maids quarters on the 3rd floor of a Lake of the Isles mansion close to the U of M. Graduated in 1976 from the U of M and started with General Mills in the accounting department. In 1981 we moved to Kansas City Missouri with General Mills as assistant office manager at a flour mill. Moved in 1985 with General Mills to Great Falls Montana as as Financial Operations Manager at the flour mill there. After 24 years with General Mills I left to become a financial advisor with Prudential Ins for 10 years. In 2011 I was offered a job with the accounting department with Center for Mental Health, a non-profit entity. This has been a great retirement job - no management, no employee issues. Currently working only 4 hours a day. Love it! During all this time Sally has been a stay at home mom raising our son Brett, born in 1979. Her favorite job was with NW Airlines (In between strikes!) She has since then been in retail sales in cosmetics at the Bon, a floral designer at 2 different floral shops. She currently works as the administrative assistant at A Plus Health - a home care health service, Great Falls has been a wonderful place to raise our family. In our travels we have met and stayed in contact with many wonderful friends. We met a wonderful couple in Jamaica on our 25th anniversary from the Isle of Mann (off the Ireland coast). We try to speak with them monthly. We live on 5 acres in Big Sky Country over looking the MIssouri River, and our door is always open. | |

Wow! 45 years...we all can't possibly be this old! My life is full with work(Edina Realty for 25 years), great husband and two adorable grandchildren. We enjoy summers on Lake Minnetonka and traveling as much as we can the rest of the year. Looking forward to seeing all my "old" friends at the reunion. |
