I have said this many times ....... Life is good! Fortunately or unfortunately most stuff is similar to how it has been for years. Certainly there have been twists here and turns there but in 'the big picture' things are pretty much same same. Of course there are a few significant highlights. Uno numero: married Jeri Meshbesher [class of '69] August 17, 2008. Best darn thing that ever happened to me exclusive of the birth of my two sons. Still live in same house since 1977. Still own Toytech. Just like the Remington man, I liked working here so much I bought the company. Haven't gone 'to work' in 20 years. I enjoy what I do and look forward to making things happen. Still referee a lot of soccer. Much adult amateur & high school varsity. Some youth but mostly mentor rising and aspiring referees. My boys live in [Justin] Madrid & [Josh] Chicago. I inherited three adult children when Jeri and I married. Still see some classmates from time-to-time yet not nearly as much as I'd like to. Looking forward to reaquanting @ our reunion. Wowie.... 45 years ago! Seems like only yesterday when ......... |

50th Reunion (2015): I continue to enjoy retirement and spending our winters in Florida and our summers in Minnesota. This past September, Cracker and I enjoyed a wonderful river cruise on the Danube. We now have 6 grandchildren with 5 boys and 1 girl. Their ages range from 17 to 3. We spend much of our summer going to baseball and softball games. Our 2 oldest grandsons play football. Grant is the special teams punter/kicker for Woodbury High School. Brady quarterbacks for Big Lake High School. It doesn't seem possible to have a grandchild that will be graduating from high school this next year! I continue to love playing golf and Mah Jongg, as well as, reading. I look forward to seeing my former classmates at the 50th Class Reunion. 45th Reunion (2010): I retired from 3M Co. in June of 2009 and Cracker retired in October. We enjoyed our first full winter at our Florida home, golfing and embracing the joys and freedom of this next phase of our lives. Since the last reunion, we have been blessed with a fifth grandchild, finally a little girl for Grandma Jo to spoil. The four boys (ages 8 to 12 1/2) are keeping us busy at baseball events this summer. 40th Reunion (2005): Cracker Peterson and JoAnn (Youngren) Peterson started dating after the Park High 30 year reunion. His pickup line was classic Cracker - "Do you golf?" Well, one golf game led to another and in October of 2001, Cracker proposed marriage in front of 200 or so witnesses, including Mike and Sue Frantz, on a Northwest flight to San Francisco. What could she say? They were married the following February 16th at the home of friends in Minnetonka. They are currently living in Woodbury with their 2 dogs: Skipper, a 12 year old bichon frise, and Nala, a 10 year old toy poodle. Skip and Nala adore Cracker and have him well trained. Cracker's passion remains playing golf and when he must work, selling industrial supplies for a small company in New Hope. JoAnn is an Information Technology Manager at 3M where she has worked the past 24 years. In addition to golf, Cracker and JoAnn enjoy visiting their new Florida home and spending time with JoAnn's 2 daughters and 4 grandsons. |

Comment: I graduated from the U of M with a degree in business. I met my future wife Jancie as a sophomore and we both left for Seattle after graduation. Upon arriving in Seattle I took a job at a local bank and spent the next 30 years in the financial services industry. During that time Janice became a doctor and we had two children, our son is 25, and in his third year of medical school and our daughter is 22 and is in her senior year of nursing. In 1999, my employer of 25 years, wanted me to move to Cleveland, their headquarters, the answer was no, so the gave me a generous severance and I just quit working for a year. After that year I was not abe to talk myself out of retirement. I still do some consulting assignments in the area of corporate real estate. I spend my time on the golf course, in Seattle we play year around, fishing , traveling and taking care of an extensive fruit orchard. |

Comment: I've been happily retired since October of 2009, after 24 years in the printing business and 15 years in industrial supply sales. JoAnn Youngren and I started dating after the 30th class reuinion and were married in February of 2002. We are both currently retired and enjoy spending our winters at our Florida home and summers in Minnesota. Last September, we enjoyed a beautiful river cruise in Europe on the Danube River. We spend much of our summer going to JoAnn's grandchildren's baseball, softball and football games. I continue to love playing golf and reading. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the 50th! |

It's going to be so much fun to see who we all became! It's funny how alike we were back then, and, from looking at the profiles, how diverse we are now! Fred and I have been married for 46 years now. There have been more great times than bad. So, we feel very blessed. We've stayed in the area, and now live in Mound. We have two children that have become the most wonderful adults any parent could ever hope for. And, they have given us three grandchildren that were so worth the wait! Fred and our daughter, Angie started a wholesale rhinestone (yes, rhinestones!) company about 15 years ago in our back room! It has now grown to employ a bunch of awesome people including our son, Matt, daughter-in-law, Nicole, and me! See you on the 29th! Look for me...I'll be the 'sparkly' old lady in the corner! |

Hi everyone! So interesting to read about classmates. We have two daughters, both married. No grandchildren. Our youngest just moved to Juneau Alaska to teach special education. (They arrived in Skagway today - will ferry to Juneau tomorow. I have been retired from Mille Lacs County Family Services for three years now. MY husband (of 38 years) retired last October. We have done some traveling, but more reading, gardening and napping. My mom lives on the family farm, so I am at her home almosst daily as well as driving her everywhere. I would like to find my "Reformation Lutheran Luther Leaguers" - does anyone know where Chris Pearson, Judy Hendrickson, Kay Rasmussen, Jane Lindborg, Linda Sellin, Jolayne Sontag, Barbara Eckstrom, Carla Foxx, Sue Hanson, Larry Oberg and Roy Johnson are? Have a great time at the 45th class reunion! I dug out my "65" tassle, the programs from our senior breakfast and the commencementexercises for our graducation on Wednesday, June 9, 1965. Wish I still had our yearbook! |

Having been away from Minnesota for over 35 years, I still love coming "home." The people, the sense of fun, and the beautiful lakes are nothing to take for granted. Ironically, many of my closest friends are originally from MN. I retired in 2007 from teaching, then mentored new teachers for five years (because the first retirement didn't "take."). I now teach yoga and enjoy being "unbusy." I've been married to John for 44 years; we have two grown children and one grandson. Our son lives in Louisville, KY, and we're able to get there often now that I'm retired. Our daughter, Ehren, also lives in Louisville having relocated from San Francisco about when we did - check out her website ehrenreed.com to commission some artwork. We have just recently left our home of 37 years and live on a lake (Minnesotan's dream) in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Yoga, tennis, golf, hiking and traveling fill my time. Am looking forward to reconnecting with so many from the class of '65. |
